Hello there,

My name is Zoe Ferrara born and raised in Naples, year 1997.

I am a photographer and visual artist working across photography, writing and sound.

My practice swings between documentary research, staged photography and reportage.

My focus is the relationship between reality and imagination through personal narratives, family and public archives, underground contexts and film.

I shoot mostly film in black and white and I tent to work with several cameras (both film and digital, old and new) depending on the project I'm working on. I believe this kind of freedom to use photography and different media as proper tools gives me the right power and understanding of the meaning of creation.

Since 2014 I shot, recorded and partecipated to the underground music scene in the south of Italy. Over the years I collected an archive that contains both magazine commission, labels, D.I.Y. and self-publishing approaches in the music enviroment.
